Useful links and maps: Directions & Transportation: For people arriving by train at Südbahnhof Station: For people arriving by train at Westbahnhof Station: Getting your room: For persons arriving there on July 4th or 5th (Saturday or Sunday) during the day: a NICLAS welcome desk will be at your disposition at the guest house. From the Guest House to the Law Faculty of the University of Vienna: Take subway U2 (purple line) direction Karlsplatz, get off at Schottentor Universität (four stops), take any exit. See maps above for the 2 minutes walking to the law faculty building on the opposite side of the Ringstraße (Universität Wien, Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät - "Juridicum", Schottenbastei 10-16, 1010 Wien). The summer university takes place in the Reading Hall 11 (Lesesaal 11), at the 1st floor. Direct way from the Airport to the University: Take the train going to Vienna (the conventional one, "S-Bahn", is much cheaper (€ 3,40 including transportation in Vienna) and goes directly to station Wien Nord/Praterstern; there is also the green CAT available, which is a couple of minutes faster but more expensive) step out at Wien Mitte, change to metro line U4, direction Heiligenstadt, go 2 stations to Schottenring, change to metro line U2, direction Karlsplatz, go 1 station to Schottentor. Tickets We recommend you to buy a weekly ticket, allowing for unlimited transportation with all means of public transportation (train, metro, tram, bus) in Vienna for a full week (€ 14).
